If I haven't replied within 24 hours on a weekday, please re-send — sometimes emails get buried and I don't want us to miss each other.
When to reach out
There's no wrong time to ask for help. A few common scenarios:
- Stuck on a homework problem? Send me the question with what you've tried so far. Often the fix is quick.
- Conceptual question that didn't click from the lecture? Totally normal. Email me or book a meeting — working through it together is usually faster than re-watching.
- Something going on in your life affecting coursework? Tell me early. Extensions, accommodations, and alternate pathways exist but they're much easier to arrange before a deadline than after.
- Exam prep help? I'll make time before every exam for anyone who wants to walk through practice problems.
What I won't do over email
Per FERPA, I can't discuss grades over email, phone, or with anyone other than you. If you want to discuss your grade, we'll do it in a scheduled meeting where I can confirm your identity.
Need help with something outside the course?
If you're dealing with something bigger — mental health, financial, accommodations, technology — the Resources page has direct links to ACC's support services. Don't hesitate.
